Debbie Morris and Jeff Vale were successful in holding down the fort when Milo Jr. (Jeff's dad) began having health problems in 1997. Debbie and Jeff both feel blessed to have been able to learn the appraisal business for 8 years from Milo F. Vale, Jr., and have since chosen to focus solely on real estate appraisals as the core business. In 1989, Jeff joined the Society of Real Estate Appraisers as a candidate member, and the Society subsequently merged with the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers in 1990 to become the Appraisal Institute (www.appraisalinstitute.org). In 1992, Jeff received the Certified General Appraiser License from the State of Indiana. In 2002, Jeff received the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute. The MAI designation requires an educational curriculum beyond the minimum needed for licensing as well as submission of a Demonstration Appraisal
